CYCLING TO GLASGOW… BECAUSE IT’S FUN !

“Why is First Aid for Climate Change not available in English yet?”

…David asked. As a fan of the book and bold enough to reach out to author Anabella Meijer, he became the instigator of the English translation and dreamed up an adventure of his own: cycling towards Glasgow. Just in time for the Climate Conference in November 2021.

Because he feels it’s what the climate could really do with right now: a bit of fun.

.
But just cycling was not enough. David felt he needed a cargo bike to take along some books in order to promote said translation. Enter Noël, a hairdresser and cycling enthusiast with a solarpanel-driven cargo bike. The two teamed up and started The Road 2 Glasgow, an initiative that we happily support.

And you can join in the fun!

DE ROAD2GLASGOW…

…is e-cycling through the rainy hills of England and Scotland. In October.
…is dressing up as a superhero and doing climate improv in the streets.
…is meeting new people and having fun.

AR YOU A FUN-LOVING WANNABE CLIMATE HERO?

Since David & Noël started talking about cycling to Glasgow to promote the book, people have asked: “can I join?”. And they thought: why not? In an adventure like this, there’s always room for someone new. They’re still working out the schedule, but will be passing through London, Oxford, Birmingham, Manchester, Kendal, Carlisle, Crawford and of course Glasgow. If you’re at all interested in joining this crazy adventure, get in touch with Noël. He’ll gladly talk you through their ideas. And hear yours!

JOIN OR SUPPORT AN ADVENTURE OF A LIFETIME, COMBINING CYCLING, CLIMATE AND COMEDY.

Do you have what it takes to help spread the word? In action, word or funding? Check this document for more details about the tour. It will be a hilly rollercoaster with cycling, joking, learning, sending and receiving. Like minstrels of old with a message to be told.
